Below you will find the current deacons along with a short bio.
Kyle Ballard
Kyle has been married to Casey for 20 years, and they have two children: Ada and Duncan. He is a graduate of Baylor University and Texas A&M University and works as a tax accountant and financial advisor. Kyle’s interests include hunting, wood and metal fabrication, sports, and visiting national parks. He has been a member of FBC Midlothian since 2009, serving in multiple areas, and currently leads an adult Bible fellowship class and a men’s Bible study.
Del Blair
Del is married to Darla, and together they have two children and two grandchildren. He enjoys golf, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. Del and Darla have worshipped at FBC Midlothian for 26 years.
Tony Boyd
Tony is married to Cindy, and they have two sons and six grandchildren. He is retired from telecom engineering and construction. Tony enjoys woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family. He has been a member of FBC since 2021 and serves on the church tech team.
Jay Childs
Jay has been married to Beth for 43 years. They have three sons—Cameron (deceased), Hunter (30), and Spencer (24), who is married to Ella. Jay enjoys golf, traveling, being a foodie, and spending time with friends. At FBC, he has taught high school boys for 24 years, served on the personnel committee (including one year as chair), and participated in numerous mission ventures such as baseball camps in Germany and work in Matamoros.
Kyle Cochran
Kyle is married to Laura, and they have three children and three grandchildren. He is nearing retirement and enjoys golf, basketball, missions, and traveling. Kyle has been a member of FBC since 2000.
Bruce Coleman
Bruce is married to Edie, and they have two daughters. A native of Midlothian, Bruce graduated from MHS and met Edie at Ouachita Baptist University. He enjoys Texas Rangers games and occasionally travels to watch Round Rock Express minor league baseball games. Bruce has served as a deacon at FBC since 2015.
Eric Craddock
Eric is married to Rebekah, and they have two children and a daughter-in-law. He enjoys reading, improv comedy, and tabletop games. Eric has been a member of FBC for 13 years, serving as a greeter, usher, and occasional ABF teacher.
Phil Davis
Phil has been married to Judy for 40 years, and they have three children and three grandchildren. He has worked in the floor covering and home remodel industry for 25 years. Phil enjoys travel, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his Australian Shepherd, Phoebe. He has been a member of FBC since 1986 and is currently involved in the worship ministry and Noah’s Neighborhood.
Jerry Ellis
Jerry has been married to Saundra for 51 years and they have three children and nine grandchildren. His interests include live musical theater (as an observer, no longer as an actor), track and field, and reading. Jerry has been a member of FBC since 1983 and sings in the choir.
Robert Frazer
Robert has been married to Melinda for 42 years, and they have four children and three grandchildren. He enjoys all sports, especially football officiating, and has officiated at UIL, NCAA, and NFL levels. Robert and Melinda also enjoy traveling. He has been a member of FBC since 2012 and currently serves on the Benevolence Committee.
Albert Love
Albert is married to Charlene, and they have three children and three grandchildren. After retiring from the banking industry, Albert accepted the church’s invitation to serve as the Senior Adult Pastor for FBC Midlothian, where he currently serves as Explorers Pastor. He enjoys fishing, baseball, and music. Albert has served in a variety of positions within the church family, including leading the worship for the traditional service for over 10 years.
Mike Marshall
Mike has been married to Candy for 40 years, and they have two children, Elliott and Taylor. He is a self-employed real estate appraiser. Mike enjoys fishing, tennis, men’s ministry, and prison ministry.
Bobby Mason
Bobby is married to Laura, and they have one adult son, Austin. He works as a police officer at the University of Dallas and has served in law enforcement for 43 years with three different agencies. Bobby enjoys bass fishing, oil painting, sports, and studying languages. He also has a love for Christian apologetics. Bobby joined FBC in 1999 and has served as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher for children, and occasionally as a substitute teacher for adult Bible studies.
Mike Moody
Mike is married to Deena, and they have three daughters, two sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking and riding his motorcycle. At FBC, Mike works the sound board in chapel services and has served as a deacon for a little over one year.
Pat Morrison
Pat is married to Dianne, and together they have four children, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He enjoys shooting, gardening, bowling, and spending time with his family. Pat sings on the praise team and choir and has been a member of FBC since 1986.
Robert Nowell
Robert is married to Marilyn, and they have two children and four grandchildren. He enjoys reading and playing softball. Robert has been a member of FBC for four years and has served as an active deacon for one and a half years.
Jim Norris
Jim has been married to Susan for 54 years, and they have two sons and two grandsons. A retired MISD administrator, Jim now teaches at the School Finance Academy at the Region 10 Service Center in Richardson. He enjoys genealogy, writing family histories, and mentoring school CFOs across North Texas. Jim has attended FBC Midlothian since 1976 and has served as a deacon since 1988.
David Northcut
David and his wife, Claire, have been married for over forty years. They have four children, two grandchildren, and one more on the way. Prior to his retirement in 2022, David was a tax partner with Ernst & Young, where he worked for over 37 years as a CPA. Claire is a retired teacher. David is an avid Texas Tech alumnus and attends most of the home football games. He also enjoys spending time on his family’s ranch in west Texas and traveling with Claire, their children, and grandchildren. David and Claire joined FBC Midlothian in 1999. He has been an adult ABF teacher for over 35 years, previously served as Chairman of the Deacons and Chairman of the Finance Team, and currently serves as FBC Church Treasurer.
Ed Pollard
Ed is married to Linda, and they have two children and two grandchildren. He enjoys helping others, traveling, and exploring food experiences. Ed volunteers with Ellis Christian Disaster Relief and TXM. He joined FBC Midlothian in 2021.
Kevin O’Teter
Kevin is married to Cammi, and they have three children and three grandchildren, with two more on the way. He enjoys U.S. Civil War reenacting and traveling. Kevin has been a member of FBC for 25 years and has served as a deacon for most of those years.
