The US Pledge of Allegiance ends with these words: “Justice for ALL.” It’s something to strive for, but everyone knows it isn’t our reality. We will all, at some point, draw the short straw or get left high and dry. It isn’t fair, and it starts to feel like justice isn’t for me… it’s only for y’all.
